Provision of Pamphlet Lead-Based Paint Inspection Risk Assessment (Pre-1960 construction: by March 15, 2001; 1960-1978 construction: by March 15, 2002) Provision of Notice of the results of the inspection and/or risk assessment to occupants Abatement Interim Controls using safe work practices where abatement has not yet occurred Clearance Provision of Notice of hazard reduction activity and results to occupants Ongoing Lead-Based Paint Maintenance and Reevaluation
Exemption: If the unit is maintained vacant and is scheduled for demolition, requirements do not apply.
Superseding Requirement: Units that Are or Have Been Occupied by a Child Under Age Six Who Has an Environmental Intervention Blood Lead Level (EIBLL) Report to the public health department within five days the name and address of an EIBLL case reported by any other medical health care professional Risk Assessment within 15 days after notice or verification of EIBLL case Provision of Notice of the results of the risk assessment to occupants Interim Controls using safe work practices or Abatement within 30 days after risk assessment report Clearance Provision of Notice of hazard reduction activity and results to occupantsOngoing Lead-Based Paint Maintenance Report to the HUD Field Office each known EIBLL case. Follow-up risk assessment and interim controls using safe work practices in other units in the same building where an EIBLL was reported and the risk assessment for the unit revealed lead-based paint hazards.
