Scientific Research and Program Evaluation

All children deserve to live in healthy and affordable housing.

The National Center has conducted a number of important research studies into several key aspects of childhood lead poisoning and lead hazard control. The Center is now conducting similar research related to reducing exposure to allergens and other residential hazards. These studies were primarily funded by the US.Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The interim and final results have been used to shape federal and state regulations.
