Fund Development Consultant
Senior Housing Advisor - Green Building
Background: The National Center for Healthy Housing is dedicated to creating safe and healthy homes for children through practical and proven steps. NCHH conducts research on methods to assess environmental hazards in the home and on measures to reduce those hazards, especially for children. NCHH designs practical strategies to incorporate healthy housing practices into the work of the public health and affordable housing communities and promotes these strategies through training, education and outreach, policy advocacy, and partnership programs. SCOPE OF WORK
Respondents may propose to carry out one or both of the tasks below.
1) Periodic fund-raising counsel to NCHH to strengthen the organization's resource development operations. These services may include, but will not be limited to: assessment of NCHH's existing fund-raising strategies and systems; and development of key strategies and success measures; and fund-raising training and professional development activities for staff and/or volunteers. This task is expected to entail 5 days of consulting, including at least one day at NCHH's place of business, at a date mutually agreed upon by both parties.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Deliverable: Brief 3-5 page evaluation of current development efforts and recommendations for strengthening them.
2) Planning and execution of a special fund-raising event in Boston, Massachusetts. This task is expected to entail ten (10) days of dedicated fund-raising counsel to NCHH, including at least one (1) on-site day at NCHH's place of business, at a date mutually agreed upon by both parties. Consultants responsibilities under this task will include supporting NCHH's Marketing and Development Officer and Executive Director and partners in implementing a highly successful event by: assisting with the overall strategy for the event; creative development of event messages and themes and review of collateral materials; identification of potential corporate and individual sponsors for the event and oversight of implementation of sponsorship outreach (NCHH will maintain responsibility for approaching sponsors as well as logistics).

STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
Interested firms should submit a brief (2 page) statement of qualifications including examples of past performance related to the aforementioned tasks. Resumes for key personnel should also be included and are not included in the two page limit (please do not include more than two 2-page resumes). In addition, interested firms should provide a proposed budget. The budget should include a breakdown of the daily or hourly rates and the number of days of consultation by task. Travel and incidental expenses should also be included in the quotation.

Senior Housing Advisor - Green Building
JOB SUMMARY
The National Center for Healthy Housing (NCHH) seeks to support developers and housing professionals in the development of homes that promote health, conserve energy and natural resources, and enhance access to jobs, schools, and services.
This position will manage many aspects of NCHH's green building work, including managing grants, providing technical assistance and training, partnership development, and public policy advocacy. The position requires some travel. The Senior Housing Advisor reports to NCHH's Deputy Director.
